Product Questions
Q1: Can the fairmont 3000 dusk til dawn sensor be used to control 2 separate outside light units? One at the front of the house and the other at the back. Also, Do the light units need to be a special type or will the nightmatic sensor control any make of outdoor light?
thanks
A1: As long as you stay within the 100w maximum wattage limit, you can in theory link as many lights as you want. 2 lights should be no problem whatsoever.
The sensor should work with any lights
Q2: Is the unit capable of switching a total load consisting of a total of 75w led bulbs, And does the night economy allow the lights to switch off after say 6 hours.
A2: A total wattage of 75w of LED would be fine, the maximum for LED and low energy is 500w.
The night economy mode has various settings which are further explain in the data sheet/ instructions on our website, but it can be set to switch the light off at an approximate time.
Q3: Does this photocell switch on at dawn and then off at a user defined time and then back on in the morning if still dark?
A3: Yes it does, if you refer to the instructions PDF, it is explained really wel.
Q4: Thankyou for last reply.can the sensor be connected to an ordinary outside light if so does the sensor have to be outside near the outside light.
A4: This sensor can be used with an exterior light and does not have to be placed near the light
Q5: Can this sensor be mounted on a ceiling in a porch and run just 2 5w led downlights?
A5: I have just rang the manufacture and they have said this sensor has no minimum load, so this will be fine to use with 10watts of LEDs. This also has an IP54 rating so will be perfect for use in a porch.
Q6: Can this sensor be used in conjunction with an exterior rocker switch?
A6: Yes it can.
Q7: Can this be connected to a security camera so it triggers the camera to come on
A7: I have spoken to the supplier and unfortunately not sorry
