Named after their size and shape being close to that of a golf ball, they are ideally suited to lights where space inside a shade is limited.
Golf Ball Lamps and Golf Ball Shaped Bulbs
The Lighting Superstore still have available for a limited time incandescent golf ball lamps. These are available in SES (small Edison screw) ES (large Edison screw) BC (large bayonet cap) or SBC (small bayonet cap).
Wattages are 25w, 40w or 60w. Incandescent golf balls are gradually being replaced by energy efficient LED bulbs which have a much less power consumption. Golf ball lamps are perfect in lights where space is limited. They are also very popular in table touch lights.
