Q1: Can this light fitting be used in an en-suite shower room provided it is not directly above a shower?
A1: Providing this is not directly above the shower cubicle then yes
Q2: Can you say if 60 watts is the max that can be fitted?

A2: You can not use any more than 60 watts if you use in incandescent bulb but you can get more light than this if you were to use an LED bulb

Sabina 280 IP44-rated chrome bathroom ceiling light with opal glass.
This is designed in a circular shape with a chrome plate, this fits flush to the ceiling and has an opal glass diffuser attached that cuts down the glare from the bulb when lit.
A class 2 double insulated fitting so no earth is required.
The light can also be used in certain areas of a bathroom.
Requires 1 x 12-watt E27 ES LED bulb that is not included with the product.
