Product Questions
Q1: Is this pir light motion activated
does it have a dusk to dawn setting
when activated how long does the light stay illuminated can this time delay be altered
A1: the light is motion activated, and the sensor will only sense movement once it is dark.
the time the light stays on can be adjusted between 5 seconds and 8 minutes.
Q2: What distance does the sensor register movement and activate light from
A2: the distance of the sensor on this light is 0-8 meters.
Q3: Can the distance of the sensor be adjusted
A3: Yes indeed the PIR sensor can be adjusted, allowing the detection distance to be altered to suit the location.
Q4: Is this fitting compatable with low energy led lamps
A4: Yes, no problem.
Q5: Does this light have a manual override so that it can be left on permanently if required
A5: This does not have a manual override.
Q6: Does the electric cable enter this light at the top or the bottom. Thanks
A6: the cable entry is in the back of the light, so the cable can come straight out of the wall and into the light.
Q7: How do you remove the cover to access the bulb to replace it? We recently purchased a new build house with this light fitting already in place but no bulb provided and no instructions on how to change the bulb. Any help greatly appreciated thank you
A7: To change the bulb in the 1818PIR light you undo the screw at the very bottom of the fitting and remove the cover outwards and upwards. This gives access to the bulb holder inside.
Q8: You mentioned in an earlier answer that that the cable entry is at the rear of the light fitting, Is this at the top or bottom of the fitting
A8: The cable enters in the bottom, just behind the sensor.
Q9: Is the clear part glass?
A9: The clear part is made from polycarbonate.
